The artistry and materials behind Botania Jewelry

Is the jewelry handmade? Where is it made?

All the pieces at Botania Jewelry are handmade by two sisters, Lorena and Paola. We handcraft each piece in our home studio here in Schull in the mountains of Madrid, Spain.

What kind of materials is your jewelry made with?

Our pieces are made with real botanicals which I encapsulate in eco-resin, a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional epoxy resins. 
We use non-toxic resin resistant to UV rays (to avoid yellowing), very durable, resistant to water and sweat. The metals were use vary and are stated in the listings for each piece but include sterling silver, stainless steel and zamak. Our jewelry is free of nickel and lead.

I have an idea of design, could you materialize it?

Apart from the creations that you can see in our store, we accept personalized orders. Please send us a message with your idea and we will do my best to carry it out, so you could wear or give away a unique and completely exclusive jewel. Can I order a custom chain?

We offer several lengths for each item, but if you don’t see the length you want, please indicate it in the “notes to the seller” box that you can find in each item.

What if I would like some slight changes to the article?

No problem at all! Write us, and it will be a pleasure to give it the appearance you want.

How long does it take to prepare and ship my order? Are there customs fees?

We live in Spain. Our national shipments take 2 or 5 business days. It takes 1 to 2 weeks to reach any country in Europe, without any fees. For the rest of the world, it can take up to 3 weeks and there may be a delay for customs fees. 
You must pay these fees, which depend on the customs administration of your country. Check with your post office for information. 
In our experience, no customer has had customs problems. 
We always provide a tracking number at the time of shipment.

We ship with the Spain postal service (Correos) with the option of either un-tracked or tracked mail available during checkout. We ship worldwide.

How long do Express delivery orders take?

If you choose the Express delivery option during checkout production for your order will be completed within two or three business days and your order will ship via DHL express.

Can I send a gift directly to a friend or loved one?

Absolutely, just make sure to put the right address in during checkout. Please add a message to seller if you’d like me to include a hand-written note on your behalf.

Can you gift wrap my order?

Each jewel arrives in a gift box ready to give away. 
It does not include receipts with orders, as they can be printed by the buyer if necessary.

Can I add a personalized note?

Of course. Just let us know the message you would like to add. It is for free. It is written on a beautiful flower card with handwritten text.

Do you need the order for a specific date?

No problem! You already know the typical deadlines according to distance. But if you need urgent shipping, We will notify you about the surcharge for urgency, and you will have it quickly. For example, from Spain to anywhere in the USA it could arrive in four days. Anyway, try to let us know well in advance, because in shipments worldwide there is always some kind of inconvenience.

How do I exchange or return an item?

We want you to love your Botania Jewelry! We offer free returns or exchanges on orders purchased directly from our web site within 30 days of purchase. You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method. We offers free return shipping for store credit and exchanges, the cost of return shipping for refunds will be deducted from the refund. Please note that we’re unable to offer returns on custom work and gift cards.

How should I take care of my new jewel?

In the next lines, I would like to give you a set of recommendations to give your jewels a very long life: 
 
KEEP THEM FAR FROM CHEMICALS: Avoid spraying perfume, deodorant, hair spray or any other damaging chemicals directly on your jewelry. 
 
AVOID MOISTURE: Avoid wearing resin jewelry underwater. For their care, never ever take a shower wearing them. Never leave them in high humidity places, such bathrooms. Store them in places far away from moisture. 
 
PROTECT THEM FROM DIRECT SUN LIGHT: Do not expose your jewels to direct sunlight. Even tough the resin I use is of very high quality, aggressive exposure to sunlight could change the color of the flower in the long term. 

Help I broke my jewelry! What do I do?

Our pieces are carefully crafted to stand the test of time and lots of wear. However, if you do ever have a mishap involving your jewelry, we will repair it free of charge! Keep any separated pieces together and then send an email to info@botaniajewelry.com to make arrangements for repairs.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept secure payment by Paypal, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and American Express through our website.

Will my article be identical to the one in the picture?

Like all handmade crafts, each jewel can have small variations with respect to the photo. A different petal, a less exaggerated lobe, more stressed capillaries, etc. But we always work as close as possible to the stock photos to replicate the same beauty. 
 
Our images show the style and color of the article. The shipped item may differ slightly, revealing the artisanal nature of the product. Depending on the configuration of your computer monitor, the real color of this item may be slightly different from how it appears on your screen.

We do! Just send us a message and we’ll talk about it if you want to stock.
